Valley Utilities Water Company, Inc. has been providing clean, safe drinking water in the West Valley near Luke Air Force Base since 1954. Currently, we serve an average of 825,000 gallons of water per day, serving a population of approximately 4,700 people.
Our water comes from deep underground, from the Agua Fria aquifer. Our aquifer was created primarily from mountain runoff and storm water infiltrating beneath the ground along the Agua Fria River and up in the Bradshaw mountain range.
Our seven wells pump water from 400 to 800 feet below the earth’s surface from the aquifer. Water from the wells is treated and pumped into storage tanks. With a series of booster pumps, the water is pressurized and pumped through transmission and distribution mains to reach your home.
